Tennessee – “America at Its Best”

Tennessee – “America at Its Best”
By Mark Polaski

From the Mississippi River to the Appalachian Mountains, Tennessee is steeped in a colorful and deep history of music from notable names such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Isaac Hayes to name a few. Here also is the Grand Ole Opry – the world’s longest running live radio show. Tennessee is also home to the world famous Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg.

On the eastern side of Tennessee is The Millennium Centre in Johnson City also known as “Little Chicago”. Close to Knoxville and Nashville, this IACC approved meeting facility can accommodate groups from 5 to 500 for meetings, training programs, conferences, workshops, and retreats. The Millennium Center features Day Meeting Packages (DMP) or Complete Meeting Packages (CMP) demonstrating an inclusive per-person rate maximizing value and makes budgeting easy.

Heading west on Interstate 81 is Knoxville.  Situated in the heart of the Appalachian Valley, this city is home to a rich arts culture. The University of Tennessee sits close to the Tennessee River and is surrounded by a myriad of beautiful parks. University of Tennessee Conferences and the Conference Center provides professional meeting management services, conference facilities, and dining services to businesses, professional groups and educational meetings for the University as well as for the private sector.

South of Knoxville and just off of Interstate 129 is Maryville where the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains rise up and Maryville College makes its footprint. Maryville College features over 300 acres of richly landscaped campus grounds and protected natural forest. The campus features historic architecture and is equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual/internet technology for workshops, conferences, presentations and special events.

Slide down Interstate 75 to the City of Chattanooga and find the Southern Adventist University in Collegedale located minutes outside of Chattanooga proper. Southern Adventist University is a well-appointed meeting space for seminars, workshops, training sessions, banquets, receptions, team building, reunions, weddings and a variety of outdoor recreational areas. Tucked away between two mountains, this beautiful campus provides a serene atmosphere. Take the time to refocus your energies, enhance the unity of your team or celebrate your accomplishments.
