The Northeastern part of the U.S. is a large hub of colleges and universities with a number of Ivy League schools and award-winning institutions, many with historic roots.
At Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, the campus hosts the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. This 20,000-square-foot facility includes a state-of-the-art auditorium, a fully equipped TV studio, classrooms, seminar rooms, and a computer lab that, during presidential primary years, becomes a center of local and national political activity.
Gettysburg College is another local point of interest in Pennsylvania with ties to the Civil War. Here, meetings take place against the backdrop of the Battle of Gettysburg, held in more than 60 meeting rooms, the Majestic Theater (with ties to 1920s vaudeville and silent films), and even its own nightclub, called The Attic.
And Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, features a lush 75-acre campus that sits along the famed waterfront attraction known as the Cliff Walk. The University’s flagship building, Ochre Court, a gilded age mansion, serves as a venue for many conferences, special events and wedding receptions.
