Bring Your Venue to Life with Video
By: Alyson Salem
Do you find it difficult to market your event space? Budget constraints are common in a variety of business operations, but there is an easy and cost effective way to market your venue…with video! In the year 2018, it might seem like an obvious marketing strategy, but surprisingly there are several businesses, specifically event spaces, who do not use a video feature of some kind to promote their venue. Here are five ways that you can bring your venue to life with video:
1. Creating a 360° virtual reality tour of your event space is extremely helpful in marketing to event and meeting planners. Unique Venues held a planner Q&A session at our most recent Unique Venues Annual Marketing Conference in Pittsburgh. The planners in attendance unanimously agreed that in addition to room diagrams and photos, video and 360° virtual tours of event spaces are beneficial when planning an event, no matter the event details. They even said they are more likely to book a venue that has that additional visual aide available.
2. Social media is a vital (and free) marketing tool that every business can utilize. Facebook Live is one way you can stream live to your followers and maintain an interactive presence with them. According to Sprout Social (https://sproutsocial.com/insights/facebook-live-for-business/) Facebook Live and other “live” streaming services have the advantage of providing unique content that is unedited and unfiltered, creating exclusive interaction with your followers and viewers. You can stream an event that your venue is hosting or even stream a tour of your event space.
3. If you have the extra funds to do so, consider hiring a company to capture aerial footage of your venue space using a drone. Especially if your venue has acreage, beautiful gardens and stunning landscape, or even multiple venue options on the same plot of land, drone footage can showcase some of your venue’s best features. In addition, the video quality typically is on the better scope of the spectrum.
4. Event footage is a great way to feature your event space and highlight the types of events that you host. If you are an event space that books a specific type of event, like weddings or corporate social events, it can be to your advantage to feature footage from these event types. We suggest taking this idea a step further by including client testimonial in the video footage as well!
5. Here at Unique Venues, we offer a Venue Showcase Video service. Our Venue Showcase Videos are created using the photos and information that you provide, and we handle the creative aspect from compiling the photo montage, writing a script, hiring a professional voiceover, and adding music to the background. Here is the best news…you can use that video however you choose!
