The City of Boston is the capital city of Massachusetts and has a population of nearly 700,000 people, making it the 24th most populated city in the U.S. -- also making it an exciting place to visit and meet for fun gatherings and activities! Boston is full of event venues – from universities and stadiums to theaters and museums, there is something for everyone here.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is located in the heart of the city and welcomes over 1.2 million visitors a year to visit its collection of more than 450,000 works of art. The museum is home to Gallery 252, a dedicated space to hold one of the biggest collections of Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings other than what can be found in France. Another fantastic museum to visit is the Museum of Science; part museum and part zoo, it spans a large plot of land in the heart of the city. With ever-changing exhibits, some of their latest include informative displays about a COVID-19 vaccine, Arctic exploration, and The Hall of Human Life, where attendees can better understand their own biology. Other notable museums include the Institute of Contemporary Art, a modern art museum on the Boston Inner Harbor, The New England Aquarium, and Boston Children’s Museum.


Freedom Trail Path

Historical Sites
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile-long walking path through Boston and contains 16 locations that are significant to the history of the United States. It runs from Boston Common to Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown. Especially on a beautiful day, this walk is a perfect activity to take part in and learn some of our country’s history! Another great walk to explore is the Black Heritage Trail, a 1.6-mile stroll through Beacon Hill, with stops like the country’s first Black school and The African Meeting House, a gathering place that allowed people of all races to assemble in peace and advocate for freedom. The Boston Public Library is a must-see, considered one of the most beautiful public libraries in the country - it is a spectacular site.

Outdoor Activities
If you think of Boston, you may very well think of the successful sports teams. One exciting place to visit is Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox and the famous “Green Monster.” You can tour the stadium, the oldest active ballpark in the country, and stay for a game after you’ve explored it. Not far from Fenway, explore Harvard’s campus and the Harvard Museum of Natural History, or take a stroll along the Charles River Esplanade and end at Newbury Street, where you can find plentiful restaurants and great upscale shopping. One must-see is Boston Harbor, where you can take in the view of the city and even take a boat cruise to see the city skyline from the water.

With so many activities and sights to see in Boston, as well as its dense population, it is a perfect city to host a meeting, conference, or social gathering. Once those events are over, there is so much to do to keep yourself and your guests entertained while you visit. You’ll have a lot of fun and even learn some history along the way!
