Atchafalaya Ballroom The Atchafalaya Ballroom can accommodate up to 600 guests. Half of the ballroom can also be rented for a smaller event up to 200 people. The Atchafalaya Ballroom rental includes 2 podiums, 2 microphones, 2 built in projectors and 2 screens.
The Ballroom Foyer is the perfect place to welcome your guests, display your guest book or wedding portrait, have a cocktail hour or a check in area. This space is included with the ballroom rental.

Oaks Balcony The Oaks Balcony is nestled above our oak trees, guarding the main entrance to The Union. This is a quiet and shaded area that offers a wonderful view of the tree lined street below. The white pergola and glass doors offer a refreshing and open atmosphere. This balcony setting has the capacity to house 100 guests.

The Plaza The Plaza is a patio next to our Cypress Lake- a managed wetland teeming with alligators, birds, and turtles. This location will certainly add some natural beauty to your event.

Courtyard and 'Porch' Our Courtyard and 'Porch’ offer an outdoor space for a ceremony and/or reception with Cypress Lake as the backdrop.
Our previous Union ‘Porch’ is an elegant setting of eight pillars right beside Cypress Lake. Along with the Courtyard, these serve as the perfect setting for a crawfish boil, a cook off, or an outdoor event with Cypress Lake as the backdrop.

Louisiane Room With floor to ceiling windows, our Louisiane Room has an outdoor feel with indoor comfort to accommodate up to 100 guest. This rental includes a screen and projector.

Evangeline Room Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook our Courtyard, Evangeline Room provides an intimate setting for up to 60 guests. This rental includes a screen and projector.

Helma Constantine AB With the capacity of up to 160 guests, classroom up front and theater in the back, Helma Constantine AB’s rental includes a built in screen and projector. Half of Helma Constantine may be rented for smaller events up to 70 guests in the horseshoe, tiered built in tables.

Teche Room The Teche meeting room is located on the first floor of The Union and has a wall of windows overlooking the front lawn. The oak trees provide shade and a wonderful view, which adds an intimate setting to this room. With the capacity of up to 40 guests, the Teche Room includes a built in screen and projector.

Vermillion Room With the capacity of up to 40 guests, the Vermilion Room rental includes a screen and projector. This room is located on the first floor of the union and offers a view of the Courtyard and Porch area.

Pelican, River, Bayou or Shadows With the capacity of up to 40 guests, the Pelican, River, Bayou or Shadow Rooms includes a built in screen and projector. Each of these rooms are located on the second floor of The Union and have a similar layout. Each room has the ability to be divided into a smaller room to accommodate any event size.

    Located on the second floor in The Union, Cypress Dining Hall provides a buffet-style cafeteria for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Cajun Cafe
    Located on the first floor of The Union, the Cajun Cafe provides guests a unique Cajun cuisine option. This quick service food location is a great lunch option if you’re on the go! Take you meal outside and relax next to Cypress Lake.
  • McAlister's To Go
    The McAlister’s Deli, located on the first floor of The Union, gives guests soup, sandwich and salad options. This quick service deli is a great lunch spot that also offers indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Union Courtyard.
  • The Brew
    The Brew can be found on the first floor of The Union and proudly serves Starbucks Coffee. This coffee shop has lounge seating and tables for breaks. Enjoy a delicious Sophie P’s cupcake from a local bakery while you’re there!
  • Jamba Juice
    Jamba Juice is located in Bourgeois Hall, near Cajun Field on South Campus. Jamba Juice provides students and guests a refreshing mix of juices and drinks. Accessible based upon reservation.
  • Zeus
    Zeus on campus is a Greek restaurant that serves anything from hummus to gyros sandwiches. Zeus is located behind the library on the south side of main campus. This location is shaded by large cascading oak trees, so you can enjoy your meal outdoors.
  • Jazzman's Cafe
    Jazzman’s is a coffee shop located on the first floor of our campus library. In addition to coffee, this shop offers bagels, sandwiches, fruit and more. If you are looking for a quiet area to work away from the traffic of campus, visit Jazzman’s cafe!
  • Cafe Fleur de Lis
    This cafe is located in Legacy Park, an apartment complex on the south side of main campus. This cafe menu changes every semester, but you can always find a local menu that is sure to please your taste buds.
  • Ragin Cajun Food Court
    Hungry for Chick-fil-a or sushi? Visit this food court to grab a crowd favorite while walking through campus. It is located in the Conference Center on main campus.
  • Acadiana Bagel Shoppe
    Enjoy a customized bagel at the Bagel Shoppe. You can pick from breakfast and dinner options.

Downtown Lafayette Visit Downtown Lafayette to fulfill all of your needs as it is the perfect place to eat, drink, and shop. From cafes to speciality shops, you are sure to enjoy your time walking the streets of Downtown Lafayette.

Vermilionville Vermilionville is a representation of an early Acadian settlement. Learn about the crafts from local artisans who work on site. Once you visit Vermilionville you will know a true day in the life of an Acadian settler. Located 2.5 miles from main campus.

Acadian Village This location of authentic homes was created to tribute the integrity of homebuilders from the 19th century. Acadian Village is a quaint recreated village shaded by oaks on the bayou. Stop by to learn how homes were made and walk through actual homes donated by our ancestors. Located 7 miles from main campus.

“UL Horse farm” or Lafayette Central Park This 100 acres of green land and towering oaks is the perfect place to escape from the bustle of Lafayette. This land offers great space to play outside with friends, family, and pets. The farm is open to the public and offers multiple shaded areas to relax and even hang up a hammock! Located 2 miles from main campus.

Avery Island Visit Avery Island to learn how Tabasco was created, the greenhouse, a walking tour, and the barrel warehouse. Located 45 minutes south of Lafayette.

Lake Martin Take a tour of Lake Martin on a pontoon to enjoy all of nature - birds, alligators, and greenery. Lake Martin is a bird watcher’s paradise.

Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin' Located in Baton Rouge, this water and amusement park is Louisiana's largest park that is fun for the whole family. Concerts are held throughout the year and are included in a regular ticket purchase. Swim during the day to cool off in the hot Louisiana sun then relax on the ferris wheel.
