The National Union Building is a historic building constructed in 1890 offering elegant, private event and entertainment spaces in downtown Washington, DC. Located at 918 F Street, Northwest, The National Union Building is at the center of the lively neighborhood of Chinatown/Penn Quarter, surrounded by restaurants, bars, shopping, and historical landmarks. Designed by a young, local architect named Glenn Brown, the Romanesque, stone clad façade maintains period details such as soaring ceilings, curved glass, exposed brick, and an original wrought-iron staircase circling DC’s last central-core elevator cage.

The Owlstone

This bright, two-floor event space is connected by an elegant stairway. It features retail-sized Washington, D.C. street view window on the first level, and beautiful bay and arched windows on the second level.

The €‹Demo Kitchen

This spacious, fully equipped industrial demonstration kitchen with necessary equipment is located on our third floor.

Four North

Our large, bright, street-facing room on our fourth floor features exposed brick and a neutral pallet along with three bay windows overlooking Washington, D.C.

  • Leather sofa and chairs, projectors and AV, movable bars, cocktail tables, high-backed leather bar stools
Four South

This intimate space on our fourth floor provides a view of Ford's Theater, and includes tin ceilings and exposed brick.

Six North

One of Washington, D.C.’s magnificent event spaces on the top floor of the building is filled with natural light and featuring soaring ceilings as well as a tower with original building top exposure.

Six South

This generously sized and light-filled room with high ceilings is on the top floor of the building, featuring an overlook of Baptist Alley and Ford's Theater in downtown Washington, D.C.

The Speakeasy

Our cavernous but intimate space is in the basement of the building. The Speakeasy is the only space on property that is not accessible by elevator.
