  • On-Campus Dining
Miami has 12+ on-campus dining locations close to any location you may be staying at. We aim to cultivate a culture of responsibility by engaging in a sustainable food system. We achieve this by purchasing locally, reducing our waste, and giving back to our local community. Miami is fortunate to call the small town of Oxford home. We are surrounded by family farms and because of this we are able to enjoy fresh local food and local products everyday. In fact, 26% of the food we distribute is local. We continuously try new recipes with local food and in 2009 we placed 3rd in the Best Local Foods Contest. Dining Services partners with two local food banks to distribute nutritious food to those in need. In addition, all products used in bid testing are donated to these same operations.

  • “We are writing to offer our most sincere gratitude and appreciation for Miami University’s Conference Services work in planning and executing our 175th Anniversary and General Convention. This year’s annual Beta Theta Pi Convention was truly one for the ages! Our alumni, undergraduates, ladies and friends who participate in our annual Beta Convention have become accustom to receiving quality customer service, good meals, comfortable lodging accommodations and an overall enjoyable Convention experience. Given that we usually hold our Conventions at premier hotels in major cities, we were initially unsure of our ability to deliver this same type of experience to the nearly 1,700 people who would attend this year’s milestone Convention. Thankfully, your Miami University staff (and beautiful campus) delivered! The Miami University Conference Services team were exceptional to work with from start to finish. Quality event planning is not something we always receive when executing our Convention, as it requires a superb attention to detail, timely communication, outstanding team leadership and a willingness to go the extra mile – all of which (and more) were qualities exuded at Miami University.”
    Beta Theta Pi

  • "I want to commend the entire Marcum staff for making our high school Teacher Academy an overwhelming success. All members of the staff, media personnel, coordinators, dining service were all so warm, friendly, and inviting. They helped us with a number of glitches that we caused, always very quickly and with most pleasant attitudes. They are all the best."

    Ray T. of Miami University

  • "We had a tremendous conference that would not have been as successful without the hard work from you all at Miami. Your attention to detail was tremendous and I know that our staff appreciated the responsiveness of everyone throughout the weekend.

To give you a perspective on the success of the conference, let me share with you one number. The first question on our evaluations is “What is your overall rating of the Emerging Leaders Institute?” with 5 being Excellent and 1 being Very Poor. In 2008, that average score was 4.54, in 2009, 4.55, and in 2010, 4.68. That says a lot about everyone who was involved!"
Steve of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity

  • "I just wanted you to know what a wonderful evening we had celebrating the wedding of our son and new daughter-in-law. I also wanted the Marcum Center staff to know what a wonderful job they did with preparing the room, presenting the wonderful meal, and serving the guests with style. I really think the Marcum Center is a area facility that most people do not know about, kind of one of those best kept secrets. I know our guests were surprised with how truly elegant the facility was and I am sure will spread the work about what you have to offer."
