About
About Iliff School of Theology
The Iliff School of Theology Events department offers facility rentals for conferences, workshops, presentations, banquets, weddings/receptions and the like to outside organizations.
We have a historic wedding chapel built in 1892 that sports vaulted ceilings, ornate woodwork, a pipe organ and a Kawai baby grand piano that is perfect for your special day.
Our largest venue, Shattuck Hall has a banquet capacity of 120 and a theater style capacity of 120. We have a variety of smaller breakout spaces for meetings, conferencing and networking. We have a fantastic meeting lounge, Schlessman Commons, that seats up to 50 persons and has an adjoining outdoor patio available.
Much of the area known today as "University neighborhood" was incorporated in 1886 as the town of South Denver. It sits adjacent to the University Park neighborhood and their history is entwined. The area features some of south Denver's finest architecture. Surrounding the campus are mostly one-story single-family homes with spacious lawns and newer high rise condos among a variety of large historic academic buildings. The area continues to be a largely Anglo community with the shopping convenience of quaint commercial districts interspersed with long tree-lined residential streets.
