Georgia Theatre

Georgia Theatre is a live music venue and event space in Athens, Georgia. Many prominent national and local acts across all genres have performed at the Theatre, including rock, folk, country, indie, alternative, hip hop and electronic. Georgia Theatre opened as a music venue in 1978, and has a capacity of over 1000 people. The newly renovated Georgia Theater is a world-class concert venue with a state-of-the-art sound system, excellent acoustics, improved seating, two balconies, and a popular open air roof area with a full bar and comfortable patio seating.

The Georgia Theatre is a wonderful place to host a private event – from weddings to private parties to corporate training events – we accommodate it all. Our open floor plan allows for a myriad of configurations, and our friendly staff is ready to help facilitate your every need. Our standard rental package includes bartenders, security/greeters, sound engineers, and a custom marquee message. We are also happy to provide basic folding chairs and some small high-top tables in limited quantities.

The rooftop of the Georgia Theatre is a chameleon – quaint lunch spot by day, and full-fledged rock club by night – the roof is ready for any small to medium sized event. Great for business or promotional events, crazy dance parties, graduations, you name it. Featuring a full food and bar menu as well as a capable sound system, the roof is ready for anything you can dream up.
