About
About The Fonda Theatre
One of Hollywood's first legitimate theatres, The Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre experienced a variety of incarnations during the 1920's, 1930's, and 1940's as part of an entertainment district of exceptional quality and diversity.
You are welcomed with your name in lights on the original marquee and walk into a stunning entryway adorned with over a hundred sconces leading you to an ornate bar. The walls are filled with a mural by an established painter Hieronymus Bosch, depicting his masterpiece painting The Garden of Earthly Delights. A checkered dance floor leads you up to a stunning emerald velvet curtain that frames the stage.
The balcony provides an intimate view, there is truly not a bad seat in the house. The rooftop is a hidden gem that features an original speakeasy from the 1290s. It is a one of a kind location where you can view the Hollywood skyline.
Keeping with that tradition, The Fonda Theatre re-opened in 2012 and has hosted performers such as Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Black Crowes, Tom Petty and Metallica to name a few. The Fonda Theatre's history and character create the perfect setting for award ceremonies, film/tv shoots, corporate meetings, private parties, and banquet dinners.
The Fonda Theatre is 28,000 square feet and comes equipped with a stage in our main ballroom featuring state of the art lighting and sound, balcony seating and a gorgeous rooftop patio available for all types of private events.
