Event Spaces & Services

Douglas County Libraries in Colorado offers meeting and study spaces, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and a public bandstand for performances or demonstrations, for nonprofit, community and for-profit groups at various locations including Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines, and more.

Our vibrant buildings offer beautiful and ample Douglas County event spaces, and maintain the highest standards of service. From modern furniture to high-end technology, discover the ideal event space for your next corporate function or intimate social event. We'll even host your child's birthday party!

A sliding air wall can be opened to extend the classic Event Hall on the lower level into the library's open book space for greater capacity. The Event Hall features a wet bar, Wi-Fi, audiovisual amenities, a separate entrance/exit, and access to the outdoor patio. Available before and after library hours.

The covered, open-sided bandstand is located in the west parking lot of the Castle Rock – Philip S. Miller branch. It is an ideal performance venue equipped with electrical outlets. It also accommodates a sound system and folding chairs.

The Highlands Ranch Library is currently undergoing a facelift and will not be available until April 2019. Check back for updated information in early spring.

  • Basic free meeting service during library operating hours
  • You reserve your space online *

  • You run your event, including managing agendas, vendors and finances
  • Drop-off/unstaffed catering permitted
  • Upgrade to Select or Concierge Service to sell tickets, charge an entry fee, sell goods or services, or accept donations.
  • Upgrade to Concierge Service to reserve 50-100% of the library, serve alcohol, or use a full-service caterer with banquet staff.


  • You reserve your space online, at least 48 hours in advance
  • Spaces may be used outside of library operating hours
  • Expert consultation from a DCL event specialist, including final walk-through and AV troubleshooting
  • We set the room up and take it down upon your event's conclusion
