Looking back on the wedding planning, it's clear that our first decision had the greatest positive impact - the decision to have our wedding at The Congressional Club. Upon walking into the venue after a few weeks of looking around at other venues, we knew almost immediately that we had found a real hidden gem (hidden because it's only recently opened to the public)! We had only two months to plan our wedding because I was out-of-country beforehand, and with the help of Natalie Thomas, we were able to plan an unforgettable night. Even though the venue has a low number of reviews, it's clear that she is very experienced because of her very insightful suggestions on how to best utilize the space. Finally, after all the stress of planning the wedding, the night went seamlessly and virtually stress-free thanks to our day-of coordinator, Christie! The venue made it very easy to decorate for the event - it's absolutely gorgeous as-is and filled with charm so that we didn't feel the need to go over-the-top. The ceremony upstairs was SO elegant and classy! The historic ambiance for the cocktail hour downstairs was perfect and the guests loved the doll room! The antique furniture added a ton of character to the space. Finally, we had the reception and dancing upstairs and it was the perfect space for both. We got amazing photos in front of the staircase and all throughout the venue. We could not be happier with our wedding at The Congressional Club.

My parents threw my sister & her fiance and my fiance & me a beautiful joint engagement party at The Congressional Club this fall. The Congressional Club was a really cool and unique venue that we really enjoyed as did our guests. All of our portraits by the grand staircase came out beautifully and will be cherished by our families. There was more than enough space to set up the bars, the food stations, tables, and a dance floor. We had an absolute blast dancing the night away in the upper ballroom. We worked with Natalie throughout the entire planning process and she was a tremendous help. She knows The Congressional Club inside and out and was able to answer any questions we had--about the Club historically and generally about our event and how to best use the space. She was really responsive and was really helpful the day of the event as well by coordinating with all of our vendors. I highly recommend The Congressional Club for engagement parties and weddings!
