Rotunda- Bovee University Center As the site of many University and external functions, the Rotunda features a 30ftx30ft dance floor, sound system for background music, large screen for video and computer presentations, vaulted ceiling, and adjustable lighting levels. The lobby located just outside the Rotunda is often used as a registration or check-in area for conferences and banquets. Amenities (by request only): Built-in LCD Projector, Built-in Sound System, Built-in Projection Screen, Internet Access, Portable Staging, Podium, and Grand Piano.

Rotunda & Terrace Rooms- Bovee University Center A special feature of the University Center is its Rotunda & Terrace Rooms. With movable walls, these rooms can be combined to form one, very large, event space. The features and amenities include those of both spaces. Every year, the Rotunda & Terrace Rooms take on multiple identities as it is transformed between conference space, banquets and dances, University functions, and wedding receptions. Maximum Capacity: 325-400 depending on set up. Also includes all of the same amenities as the Rotunda by itself.

Auditorium- Bovee University Center The name of this room describes its function exactly. The setting of the Auditorium is ideal for intimate performances, discussion forums, and movie showings. The Auditorium features fixed traditional theater style seating, raised stage, adjustable lighting, sound system, large screen for video and computer presentations, and vaulted ceiling. Mt. Pleasant Room- Bovee University Center Designed with photographs of popular attractions and locations in Mt. Pleasant, this meeting room features a large wooden conference table and padded swivel armchairs. A brick wall gives this room a classic feel while the layout of the room provides an ideal meeting, discussion, or luncheon space. Max Capacity: 14. Amenities (by request only): Portable LCD/AV Cart, Portable Sound System, Built-in Projection Screen, Phone Line, Internet Access.

Maroon Room- Bovee University Center Featuring photographs of the Athletic teams at Central Michigan University, the Maroon, Gold, and Chippewa rooms feature movable walls that allow for use as individual space, or as larger areas of two or all three of the rooms combined. Lake Michigan Room- Bovee University Center The Lake Michigan room is a perfect space for meetings, presentations, and guest speakers. The room features a fixed counter top with storage cabinets underneath, large windows overlooking the grass lawn in front of the University Center. Isabella Room- Bovee University Center Located just inside the main level hallway, this room features fantastic vintage photographs of Isabella County. With various set-up possibilities, this room is a great space for meetings, conferences, training sessions, and presentations. Lake Superior Room- Bovee University Center One of the newly renovated areas of the University Center, the Lake Superior room is a beautiful addition to the UC meeting spaces. With a fixed counter top and 50” plasma monitor, this space is commonly used for small group presentations. Large windows showcase the University Center turn-around as well as the Fabiano Botanical Garden and Gazebo. Amenities (by request only): Built-in LCD Projector, Built-in Sound System, Built-in Projection Screen, 50” Plasma Monitor, Internet Access, Phone Line, Podium.

Mackinaw Room- Bovee University Center Another newly remodeled space, the Mackinaw room is a great space for meetings, conferences, presentations, and luncheons. Amenities (by request only): Portable LCD/AV Cart, Portable Sound System, Built-in Projection Screen, Phone Line, Internet.

Lakeshore Room- Bovee University Center The Lakeshore room is very similar in size and function to the Mackinaw room. Its space allows for different set-ups as well as multiple functions. Lake Erie Room- Bovee University Center This meeting room is perfect for small meetings, work sessions, and luncheons. It features a large wooden conference table and swivel armchairs. Events Center The CMU Events Center is the center point of athletics on campus. This is a recently renovated $20 million facility with functioning space for all types of events. Housed in this facility is a large variety of spaces. McGuirk Arena is the center focus of the Events Center. McGuirk has seating for 5,300 comfortably for anything from concerts and plays to speakers and athletic events. Comfortable padded seats rise from the floor all the way to the upper bowl. There are no bad seats in the McGuirk Arena due to the 30 foot wide and 10 foot tall digital screen playing events in real time. The events center is not just set up for large scale events. It has space for meetings, banquets, and even weddings. Unique space in the Events Center includes the following; Upper Club Lounge seats 80 comfortably, Lower Level Club Lounge has a home VIP feeling, the Events Center Atrium is a glass surrounded room that is gorgeous for events. The Events Center also includes the CMU Wrestling Facility, a large Media Room for conferences or meetings, and a beautiful Mezzanine with outdoor patio. Student Activity Center The Student Activity Center (SAC) is the main student recreation facility on Central Michigan University's campus. This facility is a fun upbeat environment with plenty of space for athletics and events of all sorts. The Large Sports Form has 4 full size basketball courts that can be used for any type of event you need. If your looking for smaller space, the Small Sports Form has two full size basketball courts and two small basketball courts. The SAC has meeting space for conferences everywhere you turn. The NIRSA Room and the Alumni Room are great spaces to have training or conference meetings in a professional setting. The last main section of the SAC is the Multipurpose Room. This space houses the CMU Gymnastic teams full practice facility, as well as space for over 1,000 seats.

Finch Fieldhouse This complex is a large open sports complex with seating for 3,000. It was the host to Central Michigan Wrestling, Volleyball, Track and Field, and much more when it was built. This is one of the primary event locations for CMU's campus. It has the ability to host concernts, camps, job fairs, showcase conventions, conferences, and a wide variety of other events. Finch Fieldhouse is home to some unique space. In Finch 112 a high ropes course and climbing wall set the tone for any team builders, retreats, or camps hosted in the facility. Finch 113 is an auxiliary gym used for any team building, archery, camps, or even conferences as needed. Located under Finch is a shooting range for the ROTC cadets. This space has be converted into a shooting range from the old finch pool and can be booked with one phone call.

Kelly/Shorts Stadium Kelly/Shorts Stadium is home to the Central Michigan University football team and is the main attraction on the south side of campus. It is primarily used for football, and is the home field of the Central Michigan University Chippewas. The stadium opened in 1972 and holds 30,255 spectators. It is located on the southeast part of campus, along with most of the other athletic facilities. The stadium has also been used as a site for other events, including high school football playoff games, concerts, and graduation ceremonies. Other features of the Kelly/Shorts include: Premium seating/Club Level Amenities, elevator access to all levels, Wheelchair/Companion Seating, 480-square foot video scoreboard, On-site Locker room and Players Lounge, On-site training room, meeting rooms, and film station, Stadium Lights, Underground tunnel connecting to the IAC.

Powers Hall Powers Hall is a unique building because of the conference space available. Housed in Powers is the Powers Ballroom. This space is a gorgeous open carpeted room surrounded by windows. It can be used for wedding receptions, meetings, speakers, etc. The Powers Ballroom is a great space to use if you want your event to have a classic high establishment feel. Also, located in Powers is the Leadership Institute/Conference Room. this pace is for conferences, banquets and meetings. With Barnes kitchen attached directly to the Powers Halls it is one of the nicest places to have catering because your food is the freshest it can get.

Park Library Park Library is the most visually appealing building on CMU's campus. 360 degrees of windows light up each level of the building. Housed in the the library are the: Stosackers Room, a beautiful conference room has high-tech equipment perfect for conferences, presentations, and meetings; Auditorium is a 144-seat high-tech facility designed for hosting presentations and conferences; Barber Room 109, is an art exhibit and study space, it would be great for small groups to have lunch-ins and meeting space if your looking for a nice home experience; Mary Dow Reading Room 319 is set aside in the library for serious studiers and can be used for meetings, and has desk and couch seating for a good small group of 20-30 participants; lastly Park Library has Facility Study Rooms 324-335 and 341-350, these are 40 individual study rooms. These rooms are great for breakout rooms and for team building exercises.

Central Michigan University Biological Station Beaver Island This is a Biological wonderland for students to get hands-on experience in a variety of classes. The facilities are a great place to have a retreat or business meetings away from the office setting. Beaver Island is a great place for relaxing in the wilderness with coworkers for a conference. Located off the coast of north west Michigan, the entire island is surrounded by Lake Michigan. The CMU Biological Station has some of the nicest sand beaches of all the island. Cabins, campsites, dorms, and facility guest houses are available for your accommodations needs. The lounge is a great place to kick back and relax with a view of Lake Michigan and if you get hungry there is a cafeteria serving three home cooked meals daily. For your recreational pleasure their is a sand volleyball, access to multiple flat bottom boats, and even the ability to take flight and tour the island from above. In the academic facilities there is a full computer lab, library, media ready auditorium with duel projectors, and great research labs. Central Michigan now owns the beautiful boat house located at the tip of town for possible weddings, research, or just some fun by the lake. If you looking for some fun in the sun the Central Michigan way stop by the Biological Station.

Indoor Athletic Complex The Indoor Athletic Complex (IAC) opened in March 1999. The facility is made up of two bays. One bay houses the Jack Skoog Indoor Track, which is used for men’s and women’s track and field competitions. The other bay provides practice space for softball, baseball, field hockey, women's soccer and football. In addition, the facility houses a 7,100-square-foot weight room, a training room with a hydrotherapy pool, and an academic center complete with computer facilities, study space and rooms for academic advising, tutoring and meetings. The turf bay in the IAC is open space, which can be converted into almost anything you can imagine for your event. Tables, chairs, pipe and drape, stages, and audio equipment can be set us as needed in the IAC. The indoor track is space like the turf bay. These spaces can be used for cheerleading, wrestling, softball, baseball, soccer, football, conventions, display shows, expos, along with other special events.

Warriner Hall Warriner Hall is home to the Plachta/Warriner Hall Auditorium. This is a classic beautiful auditorium. This space has housed many concerts, award shows, presintations, orientation skits, and much more. Plactha is a commonly used facility for major events on CMU's campus. Special events and major speakers are very common in this space.

University Events The University Events office plans and executes meetings, conferences, social, and special events in over 250 different accessible indoor and outdoor locations on campus. CMU welcomes groups from 1-30,255.

Events and Conference Services The Office of Events and Conference Services assists with the planning and coordination of all events on campus including summer camps and conferences visiting or staying on CMU's campus. Each year we have thousands of guests visiting for events such as the Michigan Special Olympics Summer Games, band camps, various sports camps, professional conferences, and leadership experiences. We also work with the College of Science & Technology to coordinate lodging for CMU's Biological Station at Beaver Island.
