As part of Unique Venues® mission to educate meeting planners about the benefits of meeting at alternative venues in North America and the United Kingdom, we exhibit and present sessions at key industry trade shows throughout the year.

The Unique Venues® Block Party Section allows our company and members to exhibit together in one large area. This group marketing effort increases attendance in our section through pre-show mailers, give-aways, themes, decorations, and the Unique Venues® brand.

We organize Block Parties at the following trade shows. We hope this information is helpful in evaluating whether or not you'd like to join your colleagues and our company by exhibiting at these meeting industry trade shows. HSMAI'S Affordable Meetings
HSMAI's Affordable Meetings Mid-America
Held annually in Chicago, this show attracts over 1200 meeting planners, primarily from the Midwest United States. While these planners are located in the Midwest, they have business to book all over the United States and Canada.

Venues interested in exhibiting in the Block Party at the Mid-America tradeshow must contract for booth space through Unique Venues®. This process usually begins in early November and lasts through late February. To contract for booth space please phone Michelle Stumpf at 866.266.6857 (814.255.4052 direct). This is an excellent opportunity to combine efforts with other unique meeting sites in marketing to planners attending the show. Your exhibitor fee includes:
  • Your tradeshow booth space
  • Pre-show mailer and post-show contact leads.
  • Promotion of your venue and the Unique Venues® Block Party Section to meeting planners attending the show.
  • Section decoration and coordination including themes, prizes and section games.
  • Access to all planner names and data of those who participate in section games and giveaways, or who stop at the Unique Venues' anchor booth located centrally in the Unique Venues® Block Party section.

HSMAI's Affordable Meetings National
Held annually in Washington DC, this show attracts between 1400 and 1800 meeting planners, from all over the United States. And while many of these planners are located in the Washington DC area, they have business to book all over the United States and Canada!

Venues interested in exhibiting in the Block Party Section at the National Show must contract for booth space through Unique Venues®. This process typically begins in December and extends through May. To contract for booth space please phone Michelle Stumpf at 866.266.6857(814.255.4052 direct). The exhibitor fee includes:
  • Your tradeshow booth space
  • Pre-show mailer and post-show contact leads.
  • Promotion of your venue and the Unique Venues® Block Party Section to meeting planners attending the show.

  • Access to all planner names and data of those who participate in section games and giveaways, or who stop at the Unique Venues' anchor booth located centrally in the Unique Venues® Block Party section.

Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA)
RCMA is an annual conference and trade show hosted by the Religious Conference Management Association. It is held in late January, early February in the United States. Approximately 800 religious meeting planners attend the conference and walk the trade show floor every year in search of new venues at which to hold their upcoming meetings and conferences.

Exhibitors are considered suppliers. They are typically hotel sales professionals, convention bureaus, unique venue conference professionals, conference centers, destination management companies and other companies and organizations interested in selling their destination or facility to the religious market segment

RCMA is an excellent trade show for most Unique Venues® members. Conferences tend to be lower budget and planners find our sites to be attractively affordable. Because of the attendance, it is highly competitive to obtain booth space for the show. In order to secure a booth (actually you can contract for 2), you must do the following:
  • Become an Associate member of RCMA by June 1st of each year. Applications for membership can be found at www.rcmaweb.org.
  • Associate members must recruit at least one new religious conference planner and have their membership application and planner data form completed and received by RCMA no later than July 15th each year. The planner must be a new planner and cannot have been a previous member. It is appropriate for the Associate member to pay the planners $50 membership fee.
  • Associate members meeting the first two criteria will receive a booth contract in early August. This contract must be completed and space must be paid for by August 31st. There are no exceptions, so please be aware of these dates.
Unique Venues® does coordinate a Block Party section at this tradeshow. In order to be included in this section, you must request placement in the Unique Venues® area on your booth space agreement with RCMA.
Please note that there is a participation fee of $595 when placed in the Unique Venues¨ Block Party Section. This fee includes:
  • Pre-show mailer and post-show contact leads.
  • Promotion of your venue and the Unique Venues® Block Party Section to meeting planners attending the show.
  • Section decoration and coordination including themes, prizes and section games.
  • Access to all planner names and data of those who participate in section games and giveaways, or who stop at the Unique Venues' anchor booth located centrally in the Unique Venues® Block Party section.

Christian Meeting Planners Conference & Exposition (CMPCE)
CMPCE is an annual trade show hosted by the MPact Events. It is a brand new tradeshow held in late early January in the United States. Approximately 450 religious meeting planners attend this show, most of which do not attend any other industry wide event.

Unique Venues® coordinates a Block Party section at this tradeshow. In order to be included in this section, you must contract for booth space through Unique Venues®. Meeting Professionals International
World Education Congress & Professional Education Conference

MPI's World Education Congress (WEC) and Professional Education Conference (PEC) attract thousands of planners from throughout North America and beyond.

MPI does allow for a Unique Venues® Block Party Section at both the WEC and PEC events. Venues should contact Unique Venues® to contract for booth space within the Unique Venues® Block Party Section. To start this process, contact Michelle Stumpf at 866.266.6857 (814.255.4052 direct).

In order to exhibit at any MPI tradeshow, you must be a member of MPI. Membership is individual and only paid members are permitted to be in the booth. To become a member of MPI, go to www.mpiweb.org. Please note that MPI holds two major conferences each year. The WEC is typically held in July or August, and the PEC is held in the winter.
