Osprey Point Retreat & Conference Center Welcomes a Special "Odd Couple"

Osprey Point Retreat & Conference Center, Maryland's Eastern Shore premier small meeting destination, recently held a contest to name a nesting pair of Ospreys located on the conference center grounds. The winning names are Oscar & Felicia, thanks to the entry suggestion made by Janet Replogle, a recent visitor to the conference center.

"This is the perfect suggestion", according to Roger Valentine, General Manager of the conference center. "In looking at the nest, we believe Felicia is managing and keeping the top neat, while Oscar seems to be quite content with the bottom getting ragged and messy. They tend to squak at each other all day long as well, so the names fits them perfectly. Janet nailed it with her suggestion! The original Old Couple, Oscar and Felix would be proud."

All entries were gathered through Osprey Point Retreat & Conference Center social media outlets, their Facebook page and Twitter account. Other suggestions included famous musical pairs, like Simon and Garfield, as well as actor duos, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.
