The current economic conditions have forced many of us to reevaluate our summer travel plans. The week in the Mediterranean and the extended island retreat will have to go one hold for more important things like food and paying the bills. I believe more people are looking to cost effective alternatives right in their area. It’s easy, call your local Convention and Visitor’s Bureau or Chamber of Commerce and get a map of area attractions. I’ll bet there are tons of great places to visit and things to do all within driving distance of your home.
