Horizon Park This beautiful country park has a gently rolling terrain with lovely wooded areas. The hiking trail winds deep in the woods crossing bridges over creeks and creek beds, past meadows and the ancient holly tree. Groups find it an ideal location for group gatherings and enjoy the feeling of being in the country atmosphere with the added facilities for athletic enjoyment. Facilities include: Picnic shelter (120 people), restrooms, picnic tables with grills in woods, softball field, sand volleyball court, horse-shoe pits, playground area, 18-hole disc golf (Frisbee) course, 2 mile of hiking trails (40 min. walk, 2hr. walk), parking lots.
Tanglewood Park The combination of its streams, woodlands and grassy pastures and traditions of its architecture, horses, gardening and wide range of recreational activities make Tanglewood an ideal countryside park to visit over and over again. Facilities include golf, horse stable, picnic areas and playgrounds, canoes and paddleboats, hiking, walking and running trails, gardens, tennis and water activities.
Downtown Summer Music Series Get your weekend started early every Thursday with great live music and icy cold beverages while soaking up the summertime sunshine. The Arts Council's Summer On Trade Street - Saturday evenings come alive each week in Downtown's charming Arts District, with live music featuring everything from Bluegrass to Swing and Pop to Rhythm and Blues. Excellent food and beverage selections make this a terrific experience for the entire family.
