Las Vegas Strip	The Las Vegas strip is world-known for entertainment, dining, gambling and of course the lights. Just minutes from the UNLV campus.
Hoover Dam	Built during the Depression; thousands of men and their families came to Black Canyon to tame the Colorado River. Now, years later, Hoover Dam still stands as a world-renowned structure. The Dam is a National Historic Landmark and has been rated by the American Society of Civil Engineers as one of America's Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders.
Lake Mead	Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers a wealth of things to do and places to go year-round. Its huge lakes cater to boaters, swimmers, sunbathers, and fishermen while its desert rewards hikers, wildlife photographers, and roadside sightseers. It is also home to thousands of desert plants and animals, adapted to survive in an extreme place where rain is scarce and temperatures soar.
