You’ll see a variety of rooms, have an opportunity to discuss your needs with the event team and then relax over a delicious afternoon tea, so you can sample our hospitality too!
Churchill College – a modern and accessible venue set in 42 acres of parkland.
Churchill College prides itself on being much more than ‘another Cambridge college’. Its style is decidedly contemporary; the open parkland setting where visitors are free to stroll or play games on the grass is inspiring and relaxing; and the presence of the world famous Churchill Archive Centre, offers the chance to supplement traditional conference activities with talks and exhibitions about some of the most significant political leaders of the 20th century.
Located in the north west of the city, 10 minutes walk from the famous Cambridge "Backs", with direct access from the M11 & A14 and plentiful free car parking, the College offers all of the benefits of a modern accessible site nestled under the auspices and reputation of our world-renowned University.
Churchill College’s dedicated audio-visual service is widely recognised as one of the most professional in the city. Experienced in multi-site video conferencing, pod and web casting and multi-speaker presentations, the response to almost every nervous speaker is invariably: "the answer is yes, now what's the question?"
The College boasts numerous rooms suitable for a whole host of events including a tiered lecture theatre, which seats 300 and the largest dining room of all of the Cambridge colleges with space for up to 400 diners. Outside the University’s term time the College can offer bedrooms with broadband internet access, hospitality trays, and important home comforts. The main College buildings feature free WIFI access, free daily newspapers, and access to extensive sports facilities.
Murray Edward’s College – a place to think, a place to enjoy.
Murray Edward’s College is located just across the road from Churchill College and it’s the chosen venue for the second half of our programme. Inside this inspirational venue we’ll be taking a look at the stylish and comfortable meeting rooms, all with excellent audio-visual equipment and ergonomically designed furniture, as well as the centre piece of the College, the magnificent Dome. The Dome, a large circular room with a domed ceiling is a wonderful space that creates a fabulous, unique atmosphere for dining and banqueting it is also home to the larger pieces of art that make up the New Hall Collection, pieces of which can be found throughout the gardens, meeting rooms and along the public walkway. The College offers delegates extensive on site car parking, two tennis courts a well equipped gym and squash court, as well as peaceful and informal gardens to discover during time out. Uniquely amongst the Cambridge Colleges, Murray Edwards College can offer accommodation both during and outside the University’s term time.
